Kitty Lou Thompson Sullenberger

Kitty Lou Sullenberger, 71, a resident of Mt. Sidney, passed away at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA on February 1, 2018. She was born July 15, 1946 in Franklin, WV, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Nina Thompson. Kitty was the loving wife of Henry Sullenberger for 56 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Michael Wayne Sullenberger and his wife, Heather; two granddaughters, Hilde and Fern of Oakton, VA; two sisters, Sue Ann Judy of Rockingham, VA and Mary Rhodes of Harrisonburg; and many nieces and nephews. Kitty was a great lover of the many cats she and Henry owned over the years. She was so proud of her granddaughters, Hilde and Fern. Her body will be cremated at Lindsey Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave.
