Darlene Elizabeth Knopp passed away peacefully to join her husband, William David Knopp, on December 15, 2018 at the age of 75. Darlene was a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia. She lived in Hampton, Virginia for 27 years, before residing in Toano, Virginia for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William David Knopp; mother, Johnnie Mae Vance Stukey; father, Charles Edward Stukey; and brother, Gene Edward Stukey. Survivors include her son and wife, David and Carole Knopp; daughter, Renae Knopp; grandchildren, Isaac Wheeler, Jacob Wheeler, and Matthew Wheeler; great-granddaughter, Myah Yost; sister-in-law, Frances Stukey; and cousin, Agnes Roush. Darlene believed in supporting and building her community and gave generously to local charities. She had a passion for dogs, especially her grand dogs. She also loved birds in nature and had a special appreciation for hummingbirds. The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Nelsen Funeral home for a viewing at 12:00 pm, services at 1:00 pm, and burial following at the Williamsburg Memorial Park.
