Marissa V. Brown, 24 of Huntington passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. Marissa was born on April 29, 1996 in Springfield, Missouri. She enjoyed photography, arts and crafts, and was very creative. She loved animals, especially bunnies. She had attended College Park United Brethren Church and was heavily involved in their youth program. She loved playing basketball and played for the Huntington Eagles going to state finals where they took first place. Marissa was a 2015 graduate of Huntington North High School.
She is survived by her parents: Roger and Lisa Brown of Huntington; four daughters: Nova, Solar, Phaedra and Sophia; three siblings: Jesse Jacobson of Springfield, MO, Kelli Brown of Roanoke, Ben Brown of Grant County and maternal grandparents: Don and Grace Brown of Columbia City.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm with funeral service to be held following visitation at 3:00 pm with Pastor Gary Dilley officiating at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits. Services will be live streamed through Myers Funeral Home Facebook page.
Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made out to Lisa & Roger Brown (for the care of Marissa’s children) in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
