Lauren Grace Shire, 30, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, with her mom and dad by her side. Lauren’s sunny smile, sweet nature, and sense of humor were a blessing to those who knew her. She loved her family and friends, music, stories, eavesdropping on any conversations within earshot, and the color purple. Many people contributed to Lauren’s happiness as well--teachers, Sunday school teachers, caregivers, therapists, nurses, doctors and family friends. Lauren is survived by her mother, Lynn Shire; her father, John Shire; stepfather, Rick Farrant; her grandfather, Robert Shire; and a wide circle of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends. A Celebration of Lauren's Life will be held from 2 to 5 pm, Sunday, February 28, 2021, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne.
