Obituary of Donald Maine Horner
Donald Maine Horner passed away on December 3, 2020. Donald was predeceased by his parents Dewey Maine & Emily Josephine Horner, sister Joanne Geer, brothers Michael Horner, Larry Horner spouse Nancy Horner. Donald is survived by his sister Mary Marino spouse John Marino of Alabama, nephew Mike Horner of Texas and niece Karyn Red Elk spouse Dondi Red Elk, niece Elka and Della Red Elk of Florida, Uncle Frank Horner of North Carolina and Aunt Shirley Carter of Georgia and many cousins. Donald was a quiet, and known to some, as an introvert sort of man. The way to know what was truly in his heart was to spend time with him and listen. Donald was generous and loved his family and friends. He was protective by nature and his family knew. The Donald known best by his family and close friends, had an adventurous side. As a young man he was ready for any impromptu journey. Donald and his friends would get together to hang out, talk about what they were going to do that evening, which on any given day, would lead to memories that would last a lifetime. There were many times where he and his friends would count the cash in their pocket, gas a car, pick a place and just figure out the rest when they arrived. The stories of Donald and his very best friends are carefree and nothing short of absolutely fascinating. Donald was surrounded with loving and loyal friends who became family. A Celebration of Life service for Donald and brother Larry, will be held Monday, April 5, 2021.
