Hope Luchene, 91, lifelong resident of Hessville, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 11, 2021. She will be remembered as a loving grandma, beloved mother, and an unforgettable aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Hope loved to read, dance, play bunco, and cherished her time with family and friends. The world lost an undeniably beautiful, vibrant, fiery and all around irreplaceable character. She will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Iva Adkins, her sister Jean (Chick) Marlatt, and husband, Alvin Luchene.
Hope is survived by two daughters, Sandy Barr (John) and Kim (Don) Bianco, and three sons, Terry (Shirley) Luchene, David (Nancy) Luchene, and Tom Luchene. She was a loving grandmother to Michelle (Mike) Spicer, Brian Barr, Aaron Luchene, Ann (Andy) Klug, Allison Luchene, Brandon Bianco, Cameron Bianco, Maranda (Rusty) Shultz, and Ashley (Brian) Hurt. She was great grandmother to Morgan, Michael, Marisa, Nolan, Logan, Mackenzie, Riley, Jessalynn, Austin, Braylon, and Cev.
Family and friends may gather at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307 on Saturday April 17, 2021 from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rebecca Sundquist officiating. Hope will be laid to rest directly after the service at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Due to the current conditions of Covid-19, masks are required for attendance at the funeral home and cemetery.
