Mary Elizabeth Arnall Bendle

Mary Elizabeth Arnall Bendle, 98, of Varina, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bendle; parents, William Jennings Arnall and Mary Kathrine Shobe; three sisters, Katheryn Arnall Austin, Geraldine Arnall Bendle and Ruth Arnall. She is survived by her two sons, William “Billy” Bendle of Port Haywood, Va. and Dwight Bendle of Varina, Va. She is also survived by five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was a lifetime member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She was employed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a proofreader for the Senate, where she retired from. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 30 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, where a service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park.
