William S. Edens

William S. “Billy” Edens, 90 years of age, and former resident of New Albany, Indiana, died Friday, June 4, 2021. The son of the late Clyde and Joyce (Click) Edens, Bill was born June 12, 1930 in Tazewell, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having bravely served during the Korean War. He worked as security officer many years, was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Kentucky Chapter 155, the Fraternal Order of Police, and was a Mason with the Jeffersonville Indiana Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster brother, Wm. Howard Parker. He is survived by his children, Darrell W. Edens, Danny Ray Edens, Donna L. Weston (Gary), and Sherry L. Hamm (Bill); 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and his sister, Freida Morrison. Visitation will be 12 pm ~ 2 pm Tuesday, June 8th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany IN. His Funeral Service and Military Honors will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment following in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Indiana.
