Scott E. Dunwoody

Scott E. Dunwoody, former owner of DG Bicycles, 48, of Whitestown, Indiana, passed away August 26, 2021. He was born January 21, 1973 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Steven and Evelyn (Neighbors) Dunwoody. Scott was a 1992 graduate of Carmel High School and a graduate of IUPUI, class of 2007. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Knuckles; children, Makenna, Savannah and Erica Dunwoody. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Dunwoody and Evelyn (Neighbors) Dunwoody. He began working in bicycle shops at age 10 at Chico’s Bicycle Shop. From there he became store manager of Bike Wave, Inc. and then opened DG Bicycles, LLC in Feb. 2009. After closing DG Bicycles in Dec. 2020 he became general manager of Tire Discounters until accepting the position of area sales manager for Leon Cycles where he worked at the time of his death. He was a very caring and loving father, husband and son, and friend. He will be deeply missed. Friends and family are invited to gather with the family on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4-7 PM at Leppert Mortuary-Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Drive East, Indianapolis, Indiana. Inurnment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
