Lori Caren Rappaport - LaCroix

Lori Caren Rappaport LaCroix – athlete, traveler, lover of animals - is survived by her two doting children, Hunter LaCroix and Courtney LaCroix, daughter-in-law Joanne LaCroix, and her two cats, Shone and Sweet Boy. Daughter of Fred Rappaport and Barbara Haberman, she inherited their larger-than-life personalities. She was a woman of endless stories. She fed alligators, crushed the New York City Marathon with a broken knee, and danced with Maasai warriors. Although born and raised in New York, she considered South Florida her true home, as she loved the sunshine and ocean. However, she also loved her years living and traveling abroad with her daughter. She will be remembered for her beauty, intelligence and defiant spirit. Services will be private, with a virtual memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter. Lori's Hebrew name was Leah Chaya.
