married John W. Hobbs III who preceded her in
death. While in Indianapolis Rita was involved in
various charities, she was on the board of directors
for the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and involved
with the National Society of Arts and Letters. Rita
was also an award winning Realtor during the
1970's.
The couple retired and moved to Boca Raton, Florida
in 1980, where Rita again became involved in
philanthropic work. She was Angel of the year for
the Boca Raton Red Cross chapter, and an influential
board member of the Boca Raton Museum of art.
Mrs. Hobbs is survived by her two children, Rebecca
Hobbs Honzik, and John W. Hobbs IV. She also has
six grandchildren, Stephanie Postma, John W. Hobbs
V, Charles Hobbs, Heather Marie Honzik, Cristina
Honzik Christoffel, and William J. Hobbs. She is also
survived by five great grandchildren.
