Mary Jo Yentes

MARY JO YENTES, 89, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at her residence. Born in Peru, Ind., she was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital in 1989. "Mary Jo loved her God, family and playing Bridge." Surviving are her husband of 64 years, John R. Yentes; children, Barbara (Steve) McMaster of Fort Wayne, Marilyn (Wayne) George of Jeffersonville, Paula (Steve) Jacob of Colleyville, Texas, Donna Beauregard of Middletown, Ohio, Susan Yentes of Fort Wayne, and John (Cindy) Yentes of Columbia City; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Ann; son, James Michael; parents, Joseph and Ann Dorsam; and several siblings. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with rosary service at 3 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Masses or Matthew 25.
