John Edward Allen

John Edward Allen, 71, Of Bloomington went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 27, 2011. He was born to the late William Edward and Josephine (Brummett) Allen on December 29, 1939 in Bloomington. He was a retired Truck Driver and a Life Time Member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Bloomington. He played football at IU as a freshman. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife: Karen (Brush) Allen of Bloomington, his daughter: Canita Allen-Flint (Howard) of Roswell, Georgia, his two sons: John D. “JD” Allen (Sherri) of Fisher, IN, and W. Lance Allen (Danielle) of Ft. Meyers, Florida, two Step Sons: Brent Mayle (Angela) of Spencer, IN and Jeff Mayle (Laura) of Ellettsville, IN., 11 Grandchildren: Brittany, Laekin and J. Garrett Allen, Piper, Oliver and Annie Campbell Flint, Grey, Campbell and Kennedy Allen, Tarra Mayle and Addison Mayle. One Great Grandchild: Kraven Michael Mayle, and a Sister: Patricia Ruth Allen of Bedford, IN., as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Visitation will be Thursday, March 31 at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel from 2 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 700 W. Howe Street. The service will be at 11 AM Friday at the Church. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
