Mary Grace Adkins

Mary Grace Adkins, 85, formerly of Prospect Hill Drive in Martinsville, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Blue Ridge Manor in Martinsville. She was born in Martinsville on September 9, 1925 to James Edwin Haynes and Lillian Virginia Ingram Haynes. She was a Homemaker and of the Christian Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Adkins and her brother, William Elmo Haynes.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Lee Worley of Stuart, Virginia and Martha Adkins Drane of Martinsville, Virginia; two grandchildren, Adam Thomas Worley and Kathryn Peyton Drane; three step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren
A Graveside Service will be private.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Lewis Drane, 1231 Sam Lions Trail in Martinsville on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Landmark Center in Stuart, where Mrs. Adkins was once a resident.
