Jerome E Barieau

Jerome E. Barieau, “Bud,” Major, USAF Retired, passed away on 23 April 2012, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was 91. A native of Auburn California, he was a Prisoner of War during WWII after being shot down on his sixth daylight bombing mission over Germany. He continued his military service during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, and retired in 1968. Bud is survived by his son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren and, several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his selfless devotion to duty and love of Country. He has been interred in the New Auburn Cemetery. Bud and his family request donations in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, and American Red Cross.
