Alice Virginia Smith Scott
April 15, 1925 – November 12, 2012

Alice Virginia Scott, age 87, of Bloomington, died Monday morning at her residence. Born April 15, 1925 in Valley Mills, Indiana, she was the daughter of Denton and Ethel Ann (Brown) Smith.
She was a graduate of Danville High School. Alice was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bloomington and a member of Eastern Star, Chapter #22 in Henderson, Nevada. She was an avid Indiana University sports fan. She worked at Indiana University as an Administrative Assistant and formerly in Washington, D.C. for the Dept. of Chemical Warfare.
She is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Doris Smith, of Greencastle, Robert and Ruthie Smith, of Spencer and James and Joan Smith, of Boulder City, Nevada, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Scott, in December 2011, her son, Michael Scott, in 1968 and two brothers, Clifford Smith and William Smith.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 P.M. at Day Funeral Home with Pastor Frank VanAllen officiating. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.
