DAMON BENJAMIN RABADUEX SR., 84, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Dupont Hospital. Born Dec. 4, 1928, in Flat River, Mo., he was a son of the late John and Grace (Ditch) Rabaduex. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He retired from the marketing department at Essex Wire. He was a member of American Legion Post 499. Surviving are his daughter, Teresa Rabaduex of Montgomery, Ill.; sons, David (Lisa) Rabaduex of Fort Wayne, Daniel (Sue) Rabaduex of Rockford, Mich. and Damon (Patricia) Rabaduex II of Ponchatula, La.; grandsons, Joshua, Michael, Darren, Matthew, Jon, and Damon III Rabaduex; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Colton and Hailey Rabaduex. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean, in 1998; daughter, Denise, in 1955; and brothers, Raymond, John Jr., Eugene, and James "Jack" Rabaduex. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Pastor Karan Koelsch officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Wounded Warrior Project.
