Elizabeth R. Seiler Nyhuise

Elizabeth R. Nyhuise, 93, of Evansville, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Parkview Care Center. She was born February 7, 1920, in Evansville. She enjoyed her family before anything else. Elizabeth was the Captain. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church since 1959 and a life-long member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1114. She was also active in bowling and playing Clabber. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Chester O. Nyhuise, in 2010. She is survived by her daughters, Margie Raven (Tom Chappell) and Carol Nyhuise; son, David Nyhuise; grandchildren, Elizabeth Sanders (Ted Klees), Matthew Raven (Tara Greulich) and Christina (Keith) Rheinlander; and great-grandchildren, Haley, Ellie, Chase and Cali Rheinlander. The family wishes to thank Parkview Care Center and Vista Care Hospice for the care Elizabeth received during her last days and to her family doctors, Dr. Polin and Dr. Sash. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2013, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 600 Herndon Drive, officiated by Fr. Ted Tempel with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM by Sr. Jenny Miller, and on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
