HAROLD E. DUST GRIFFITH, IN Harold E. Dust, age 82, of Griffith, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Diane (Donald) Sopetti; son, James (Susan) Dust; three grandchildren: twins Lindsey and Michelle Sopetti, and Amy Dust; twin brother, Harvey (Joan) Dust; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Dust was preceded in death by his wife, LaDonna; parents: Harry and Lenore Dust; and sister, Harriet Huff. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with Rev. Steve Conger officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Mr. Dust retired from Lever Brothers with 33 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and N.A.S.C.A.R. Mr. Dust was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.. Memorial contributions may be made in Harold's loving memory to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
