DeeAnn Schmitz

DeeAnn Schmitz, 54, of Newburgh, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born December 2, 1958, in Wellington, KS, to Martha (Krietenstein) Schmitz and the late Edward Schmitz. Dee loved being a mom and daughter. She was a Respiratory Therapist at Deaconess Gateway. She enjoyed scrapbooking. She was preceded in death by her father. Dee is survived by her son, Zach; mother, Martha; brother, Douglas (Valerie); nephew, Dr. Samuel (Cassie) and their daughter, Hannah; maternal grandmother, Florence Krietenstein; uncle, Don (De Ette) Krietenstein; aunt, Phyllis (Dr. H.D.) Wright of Rantoul, IL; several cousins and many friends. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, with entombment to follow. Friends may visit Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the cemetery.
