Margaret M. Knight, 79, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Deaconess Hospice. She was born August 4, 1934, in Owensboro, KY.
She was retired from Pine Haven Nursing Home and had been employed at Franklin Neighborhood Drugs for eight years. Margaret enjoyed bowling, dancing, shopping and raising her grandchildren. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Knight; sisters, Mary Pinkston and Ruby Goins; and parents, Eunice Pate and Felix Goins.
She is survived by her children, Margaret Kneer, James Belcher, Darlene Howell, Pamela Montgomery, Mary Jo Frankenberger and Scott, Tracy and Joseph Knight; brothers, Charles and James White, Lawrence Pate and Felix and John Goins; sisters, Florence Chappell, Janet Pence, Elaine Whitney, Marlene Jones and Ramona Madday; 14 grandchildren, Brian, Lorrie, Mia, Christopher, Christie, Joseph Charles, Jaga, Shelly, Jason, Ryan, Nolan, Sara Jo, Arron and Cody; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
