John Hipps

John Hipps, 66, of Fort Wayne passed away on Friday November 15, 2013. Born July 2, 1947, in Greenville, TN, he was a son of the late Mark and Flippa (Eovino) Hipps. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, he was a member of Taylor Chapel UMC, Fort Wayne, and Leo Masonic Lodge # 224, and worked in sales at K-Mart and Menards. He is survived by his wife Diana; sons, Ryan (Mandy) Hipps, Steven Hipps and Andrew (Jacquelyn) Hipps; siblings, Susan Lawson, Marie DeVaughn, Bob Hipps and Mark Hipps Jr.; five grandchildren: Hayley, Kayla, Rayna, Spencer & Liam.Funeral Service will be 10 AM Thursday November 21, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM Wednesday November 20, at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery, Fort Wayne, with military honors. Memorial donations may be given to Taylor Chapel UMC, Building Fund, or Indiana Organ Donation.
