Robert Joseph Engerski

We celebrate the life of Robert Joseph Engerski, 82, of Highland, IN who passed away May 12, 2014, after a brave battle with Alzheimer's. Bob, Dad and Papa - as we know him - loved to laugh, work hard and aim high in everything he did. We will remember him as a positive community leader and former Highland Town Board president; a favorite Lake Central High School teacher; a printer by trade who worked at The Chicago Tribune, The Hammond Times, and Rand McNally before founding Engerski Graphics; an avid White Sox fan; and a caring husband and father of seven. He is survived by his wife, Marilynne Engerski; daughter, Sheryl Sculley, along with Mike, Courtney and Collin; son, Robert K. Engerski, along with Joan, Kevin, Morgan and Karson; son, Garry Engerski, along with Sheryl, Ethan, Evan, Emilie and Erienne; daughter, Karen Jones, along with Rick, Kyle and Sarah; daughter, Michelle Barnard, along with Jeffrey, Alle and Ian; daughter, Janelle Clifford, along with Jackson, Mackenzie and Ellie; and daughter, Melanie Engerski, along with Andy, Samantha and Max Craig; as well as his two brothers: Joseph and Jerome Engerski, and their families. We will hold a visitation from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and a Memorial Service from 3:30-4:30 p.m. this Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road in Highland.
