Michael Raymond Bailey Jr.

Michael Raymond Bailey Jr., 22, passed away on July 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Betsy Ann Bailey. Michael graduated from Varina High School in 2011, and shortly thereafter, started a dedicated and hardworking career in construction. He was a gifted artist who loved music,carving and drawing. His extra-curricular activities included fishing, caring for animals and playing his X-Box. Above all, the most important part of Michael’s life was his family and friends. His presence will forever be missed. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Joyce C. Priddy (Jimmy) and father, Michael R. Bailey Sr. (Tammy Bolton); sisters, Heather Bailey Newhouse, Mandy Rae Bailey, and Amber Lynn Cole; brothers, James G. Priddy Jr., and David Michael Cole; grandparents, Patricia G. Culberston, Roger Leon Culberston Sr., Therna Raymond Bailey, Waddy Clifford Bolton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, July 24th, from 5-8 pm, with funeral services Friday, July 25th, 1 pm. All services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4560 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond VA, 23231.
