Betty Jean Doll

Betty Jean Gardner Doll, 88, passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2017. Betty was born on September 4, 1928 in Norfolk, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ralph Doll. She was a faithful Navy wife residing in Long Beach, CA, Owensboro, KY and Norfolk, VA. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons Ralph Jr., and wife Judith, Frank and wife Elizabeth, David and wife Tatyana, daughter Lorie and husband Mark Humphrey, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, May 15, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home on Norview Avenue. The service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, May 16, at Norview UMC. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Norview United Methodist Church.
