Dolores M. “Gus” Eash, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 7, 2018. Born on May 4, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late Byron and Marie Wedge Sr, and was a member of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. She was a registered nurse and graduated from St. Joseph Hospital Nursing School, in Mishawaka, and was a volunteer nurse for the Red Cross and the Allen County Public Libraries.
She is survived by her sons, Tom (Jessica) Eash, John (Kelly) Eash, and Andy (Tammy) Eash; daughters, Christine Smith, and Karen Wells; daughters-in-law, Alyce Eash, and Mary Beth Eash; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert E Eash; sons, Dan, David and Doug Eash; granddaughter, Megan Eash, great-granddaughter, Norah; sister, Patricia Schwab; and brothers, Ronald, John Byron Jr, Patrick, Terry, and Richard Wedge.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Thursday, January 11, at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Wednesday, January 10, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, with a Rosary Service at 3:30pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be given to Ave Maria House, or The Rescue Mission.
