Sherrill Dawn Hurd

Sherrill Dawn Hurd, age 59, of Alexandria, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 10, 2018. Sherrill was born March 22, 1958 in Frankfurt, Germany, and had a military childhood growing up in Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, California and Virginia. She was a 1980 graduate of the University of Virginia earning her BA in Economics. She had a long and distinguished career in Banking starting at First Virginia Bank, which became BB&T, and later moving on to Burke & Herbert Bank in Alexandria, VA where she was employed until February 1st of this year. Sherrill is survived by her mother, Renata G. Spencer of Fort Belvoir, VA and one sister Holliday L. Hurd (Gus Polichron) of Seaford, NY. Services will be private.
