Grace Behlen Anderson

Grace B. Anderson, 87, lost her battle with chemo on Friday the 13th 2018. Born in Manhattan, NY on April 30th, 1930, she was preceded in death by her mother Olivia and father Herman. Gracie went to high school in Ardsley, New York, and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Fine Arts. She was a staunch Democrat who donated to many causes to help the poor and downtrodden. Her last wish was that Democrats turnout to vote in 2018, and that, quote “Mueller hurry up”. Gardening was her love in summer and we will miss her green thumb. Gracie had 3 children, Tim, Nancy, and John; their spouses Mohamed and Jill; and 5 grandchildren, Ibrahim, Ali, Olivia, Kelsey, and Madeline who will all miss her dearly. Her sister Louise Crumpacker, 90, of Chesterton Indiana survives her death, and our family would like to say a big thank you to her children, Peter (wife Tina), Barbara (husband Fred), Tisha (husband Jim), and especially Janeen (husband Adrian) who helped tremendously at the end. We would also like to remember Grace’s deceased husband Robert Anderson III’s family, the Coy’s for their visits and contact throughout the years. A memorial celebration will be held near what would have been her 88 birthday in late April.
