Samuel Usher Harte

Samuel Usher Harte, 87, of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he spent his career as a psychologist, and set up a health series at his retirement community in Fredericksburg in recent years. He loved to play tennis, and entertain his family and friends. He served in the US army during the Korean War. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; his son, Eric Harte; his daughter, Elise Harte, his son in law, Marc Schneider, his daughter in law, Pamela Harte, and his grandchildren, Collin, Luke, Liam and Savannah. He is also survived by his brothers Edward and Bernard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Minnie Hirschenfang; A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mary Washington Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
