James Wesley Daniel

Wes Daniel, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 10, 2018. Wes was born on May 1, 1931 in Cary, Mississippi to James Saxon Daniel and Ethel Sally Miller Daniel and had 1 sister Mable Daniel Thomas, all deceased. He is survived by his precious wife, Eula Mae Boynton Daniel; 4 daughters, Cathy Brickhouse with husband Jerry, Carol Fortier with husband David, Robyn Vasile with husband Alan, and Renee Carey with husband Rob; 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren plus 1 who is deceased. Wes and Eula just celebrated 66 years of marriage. He was a wonderful example of what a Christian husband, father, grandfather, and friend should be. Wes was a proud member of the United States Navy, including tours to both Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1970 as a Chief Hospital Corpman. His service included many roles as an instructor and was always integral in improving the staff and conditions of any X-ray department under his leadership. Upon retirement, he worked in radiology at Virginia Beach General Hospital. He later worked at Triple-R Ranch, becoming Maintenance Director there and then at Norfolk Christian Schools, retiring in 1992. Many ministries benefitted from his exceptional carpentry skills and many missionaries throughout the years were blessed by his support, prayers, and correspondence.
