Carmela Puglise Rapavi

Carmela Puglise Rapavi, age 89, of Fairfax, Virginia passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018. She was born May 30, 1929. Carmela was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years Andrew Rapavi. Loving mother of Anne Akers, Paul Rapavi, Mark Rapavi and his wife Rosa, and David Rapavi and his wife Ginny. Cherished grandmother of Paulina, Emily, Nicole, Jonathan, Christopher, and Christina. Carmela was predeceased by two grandchildren: Nicholas Rapavi and Justin Ryon. The family will receive friends at the Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main Street, Fairfax VA 22030 on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Divine Liturgy, Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10 AM at the Epiphany of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, 3410 Woodburn Road, Annandale, VA 22003. Interment will follow in National Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carmela's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or a charity of your choice.
