Obituary of Jacqueline H. Freeman
Jacqueline H. Freeman of Newburgh, Indiana ascended into heaven on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 due to a failing heart. She was born in New Orleans, LA on September 9, 1931 to Jeffrey and Camille Calligan. She grew up in New Orleans with her sisters, Camille and Sandy, and her brother Jeffrey. On June 15, 1948 she married the love of her life William A. Freeman. She worked at General Motors for 15 years. She was an ordained minister. She served as area director for spiritual frontiers fellowship. She was the First president of Welcome Wagon of Newburgh, IN, and she was the Treasurer of TOPS weight loss group. She was the first to hold a psychic fair in Evansville. She taught metaphysics classes and was a certified Reiki Master. She enjoyed helping others with their spiritual journeys. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (until health issues no longer allowed her). She was preceded in death by her parents; Jeffrey and Camille Calligan; sister, Camille Calligan; her husband of 64 years, William A. Freeman and her sister- in- laws; Shirley Freeman and Frances Ebbesmier. She is survived by her beloved son; Michael; Daughter-in-Law; Michelle of Newburgh IN; brother, Jeffrey Calligan of Covington, LA; Sister, Sandra (Calvin) Medine of White Castle, LA; Grandchildren, Katie, Grant, BJ, and Travis ; Great Grandchildren, Penelope, Raylee, and Joanna; brother- in –laws, Gene and Larry Freeman; several nieces ,nephews ,great nieces and great nephews. A special thanks to all the nurses and caregivers at Atria Senior Living and Riverpointe Health Campus. Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Road, Newburgh IN, with a mass to follow at 11:00 am.
