David Harry Ermen

David Ermen, 62 years old, went home to his Lord on June 6, 2019. David is survived by the loves of his life, his wife Pamela Ermen and his precious “Pookie Girl” Zoe Ermen. He will be sadly missed by his devoted sister and brother-in-law, Pastors Deborah and Bill Smalt and his mother-in-law and best buddy “Bernice” Theresa Hudgins. He was a “one of a kind” Brother-In-Law to Pam’s brothers Craig, Steven and Matt Hudgins and Uncle to nieces and nephews David, Jonathan and William Smalt, Bryan Hudgins, Michelle and Lindsey Hudgins, Zachary and Alex Hudgins, Christopher Hudgins and the extended families of Kim Mayo, Kasey Lupino and Matthew Hudgins. He was loved by all of them for so many reasons, but mostly for being the man who always showed up when you needed him for anything. The service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on June 12th at Rock Church in Kempsville where David was a long standing member. The viewing hour will begin at 10:00 AM. His celebration will be followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn on Granby Street and a reception at Rock Church immediately after. David’s joy and life’s purpose was anchored in his devotion to his family, friends and his faith in Jesus Christ. His love for the beach and his heart was rooted in his Ocean View upbringing and by God’s grace he spent his last minute of life with a full view of a beautiful day on the bay. We thank so many of our wonderful family and devoted friends for showing us so much love in the midst of this tremendous loss. We’re find our comfort knowing that David is now with the Lord and his loving parents Joan and Harry Ermen. We will miss him so deeply.
