Ronald J. Kegel

Ronald James Kegel, 72, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Ron was born on May 7, 1947 to the late Fred and Charlotte Kegel. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1965 and went on to attend Evansville College. He was a member of the Indiana National Guard and served a tour in Vietnam with the 151st Airborne Division. Ron’s career was in the food sales industry, and he eventually retired from El Maizel in 2013. Ron was a “born salesman” who loved to talk about anything and everything. He was as stubborn as he was loyal. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janie; daughter, Jennie Marshall (Jeff); grandchildren, Max and Anna; and sister, Barbara Morrow (Michael). A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit 2pm until service time at the funeral home.
