JoAnn Smedley

JoAnn Smedley age 61, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Thomas H. Smedley Sr.; son, Thomas H. (Rae) Smedley and daughter, Marcia (Joseph) Smedley; grandchildren, Brandon, Sidney, Raegan and Kennedy; mother, Marcia Mae Phelps; sister, Diane (James) Mola; brothers, James (Diane) Phelps, Bill Phelps and Howard (Shelley) Phelps and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her father, Howard T. Phelps; brother, John R. Phelps and her parents in law, James and Opal Smedley. JoAnn was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and mamaw and she will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Pastor D. J. Murvin officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 10:00AM-2:00 PM and 4:00-8:00 PM and on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
