Charles E. Evans

Charles E. Evans, 87, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. Charles was born in Clarksville, TN on February 18, 1932 to the late William and Charlene Evans. He was a Korean Army veteran and life member of Jim Eby VFW Post 857. During his working life, he was a brick mason and a member of Bricklayers Union Local 2. Surviving are his sisters, Marie Quinn and Betty Sue Austin; step-daughter, Karen Peterson; three step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by wife, Ruth Evans and brothers, William Evans; Jessie Evans; and Joe Evans. Funeral is 11:00 AM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Hockemeyer Miller Funeral Home 6131 St. Joe Road with calling one hour prior. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
