Helen Elizabeth Zarndt

Helen E. Zarndt age 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. She is survived by her son, David Zarndt; daughter, Karen (Charles) Siatta; grandchildren, Jennifer (Matthew Baker) Siatta and Joseph (Christopher Austgen) Siatta; great grandson, Lincoln Baker; sister, Delores (late Paul) Lauerman andmany nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Zarndt; siblings, Irene Rompola, Janet Rasco, Dorothy Haberlin, Raymond Czerwinski, George Czerwinski, Joseph Czerwinski, Steve Czerwinski, Eugene Czerwinski, Sylvester Sherwinski and Leonard Czerwinski. Helen was born January 7, 1926 in Hammond, IN to the late Joseph and Anna Czerwinski and was a student of St. Victors and Thornton Fractional High School. On September 27, 1952, she married the love of her life, Robert Zarndtand together they raised two children. Helen enjoyed sewing, cooking, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Helen was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN. Interment to be held privately by the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
