Nancy M. Baker

Nancy M. Baker, 86, of Highland, IN, passed away on May 29, 2020. She is survived by three children, daughter, Susan Baker, special friend, Mark Swanson; son, David (Laura) Baker; son, Jim (Joanne) Baker; six grandchildren, Julie, Lucas, Haylie, Casey, Corrie, and Will Baker; one sister, Florence Covault; sister-in-law, Caroline Turnpaugh; and many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Willard Baker; one brother, Tim Turnpaugh; sister-in-law, Nita Turnpaugh; and brother-in-law, Robert Covault. Nancy graduated from Hammond High School and lived in Highland most of her life. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church and a member of the Kiwanis Club. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and was known for her meticulous score keeping. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 10:00AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman RD (two blocks south of Ridge RD) in Highland, IN. Burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
