Jeffery Thomas Degitz

Jeffery Thomas Degitz, 62, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Thomas and Carol (Ernsting) Degitz. Jeff married Janie (Ryerson) on June 9, 1990 and she survives. He was the co-owner of Knepp Sand and Stone in New Paris, IN for 4 years and Pine Valley Country Club. Jeff was an avid golfer and loved to fish. Above all else he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his children, Joe (Megan) Degitz, Tony (Jooyoung) Degitz, Stephanie Degitz, and Danielle (Tanner Miller) Degitz; grandchildren, Max, Ellie, Hailey, and Hayden (expected in October); sisters, Sue (Roger) Dammeier and Pam (Ken) Townsley; and a host of dear friends. Funeral services will be private. Visitation from 5pm to 8pm Friday, August 7, 2020 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, and Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 10am to 12:00pm also at the funeral home.
