David Ray Kuhr

David Ray Kuhr, 70, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Newburgh. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 17, 1950 to the late Edward and Christine (Blair) Kuhr
He graduated from Rex Mundi High School Class of 1969 and earned two associates degrees from Ivy Tech. He was self employed auto mechanic and retired from Alcoa after 15 years of service. David was a 4 year Navy veteran serving in Vietnam and was active in the Honor Guard at the American Legion Kapperman Post 44.
David was preceded in death by his daughters, Laurie Jo Kuhr and Stacy Kuhr; son, Robert Joseph Kuhr; brothers, Robert Earl, Larry, and Eddie Kuhr; stepsons, Timothy Ray Kuebler and Jon Dee Kuebler.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Mary Rose (Fulkerson) Kuhr; daughters, Angie Hulsey (Bob), Sarah Conn (Jeff), and Michelle Andrews (Matt); son, Matt Kuhr; stepson, Virgil Kuebler; stepdaughters, Raylene Callis, and Rose Stevens (John); brothers, Steve and Mike Kuhr; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held High Noon, Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Military rites will be held graveside by the Kapperman Post #44. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Kapperman Post 44 Honor Guard.
