Paul L. Moosmiller age 94, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry (Shirley) Moosmiller and Gery Moosmiller; grandchildren, RaeEllynne (Eric) Lee, Jason (Anita) Moosmiller, Jonathon (Jessica) Moosmiller, Joel Moosmiller and Mark (Jennifer) Moosmiller; great grandchildren, Michael Lee, Abigail Moosmiller, Benjamin Moosmiller, Noah Moosmiller, Jon Paul Moosmiller, Gigi Moosmiller and Jude Moosmiller; sister, Mary Simonis and son-in-law, Joel Jones.
Preceded in death by his wife, Esther Moosmiller; daughter, Jualita Jones and grandson, Matthew Moosmiller.
Paul was born December 1, 1925 in Rensselaer, IN to the late Louis and Ernastine Moosmiller. He received his Bachelors degree from St. Joseph College in Rensselaer and went on to achieve his Masters in Geology from the University of Tennessee. Paul proudly served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. Paul will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St Maria Goretti Catholic Church (500 Northgate Drive Dyer, IN) with Rev. Charles W. Niblick officiating.
Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN.
Due to the current conditions of Covid-19, masks are required for attendance at the funeral home, church and the cemetery.
