Elisa Margarita Carmona

On Friday, October 2 2020, Elisa M Carmona, passed away at age 55 surrounded by family and friends. Elisa was born on August 29, 1965 in Blythe, CA to Francisco and Margarita Carmona. She moved with her family to Laredo, TX until she went to college. She attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering Degree. After graduating college she moved to Northern Virginia to start a career with the Army Corp of Engineers where she was a Civil Engineer for 31 years. Elisa was a bright star who touched those around her. She had a love for fashion, fitness, traveling and being around family and friends. Elisa is survived by her husband, Mark Wilburn; Parents Francisco and Margarita Carmona; brothers, Francisco Carmona Jr (Rachel), Mario Carmona, Aldo Carmona, Luis Carmona and Raul Carmona; mother and father in law, Thomas “Slick” and Judy Wilburn; brother in law, Greg Wilburn (Maureen) numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by Jose & Millie Gonzales (aunt and uncle), Mario Gonzales (uncle), Leonel Carmona (uncle), Exiquio Carmona (uncle), Juan Angel Carmona (uncle), Adrianna Carmona Gonzalez (aunt) and Tommy Wilburn (brother in law). A Celebration of Life will begin at 1pm on Saturday, October 17th 2020 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford VA for friends and family.
