Teresa Jane Taylor

Teresa “Teri” Taylor, 72, peacefully passed on Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was born July 28, 1948 in Bakersfield, CA to the late Harmon and Viola Fansler. She was a 1966 graduate of Castle High School where she enjoyed playing in the band and being a majorette. She then became an x-ray technician and relocated to Baytown, TX where she worked at Gulf Coast Hospital. Later in her career, she became a lab technician and worked for Exxon Oil Company. After retiring from Exxon, Teri relocated back to Newburgh, IN to be with her family. She enjoyed teaching piano and playing the organ for church services when needed. She loved to read and was an avid animal lover, rescuing many pets throughout her life. Teresa was blessed to have special friends who formed a “committee” to assist her, especially during this last year: Nancy Bogner of South Dakota, Allan Taylor Russell of Florida, and EJ and Diane Smith of Newburgh. She is survived by her sister Janice Gash; two nephews, Justin Gash (Andrea) and Ryan Gash, and great-nephew, Christian Gash. A private entombment will be at Park Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum.
