Ella Kathryn "Kate" LaMar, 98, died Thursday, November 26, 2020, at her son's home in Richmond, Indiana surrounded by her loved ones.
Kate was born to Arvel and Agnes Anthis Warren on March 3, 1922 in Decker, Indiana. She was a 1940 graduate of Mt. Olympus High School. Kate was employed with Hooks Drug Store until her retirement in 1987. She was a faithful member of Central Christian Church and a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Kate enjoyed archery as a young girl, and was a devoted Euchre player.
In addition to her parents, Kate is preceded in death by her brother: Bob Warren; two golden retrievers: Tanner and Max.
Kate is survived by her son Bruce LaMar and his wife Judy; grandchildren: Kelly and Chad; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, all of Indiana.
At the request of the family, private services will held at a later date. Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, have been entrusted with arrangements. The family gratefully acknowledges the kind and compassionate care that Premier Hospice provided Kate. Memorial contributions may be made to Premier Hospice 11550 North Meridian St. Suite 375 Carmel, IN 46032 in Kate's honor.
