Ruth E. Stoll

Ruth E. Stoll, 103, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Roscoe and Ruby Oak (Lower) Redding. Ruth married Edgar W. Stoll on June 10, 1939, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1978. Ruth worked for Archway Bakery and Hickory Farms from the time they opened until they moved. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Curio-Antique Club. Ruth was a volunteer at Lutheran Hospital, Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, and Parkview Gift Shop. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Bartol; daughter-in-law, Carol (Dean) Stoll Bruick; grandchildren, Barb Gonterman, Chad (Angie) Stoll, Karen Anderson, and Phil (Laura) Stoll; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Ruth was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Stoll; granddaughter, Suzanne Bartol; grandson, Brent Bartol; grandson-in-law, Gail Gonterman; and sister, Hilda Tennyson. Private family services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 8, 2021 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne), with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
