Bessie Price Timmons, a long time resident of Universal City, Texas, passed away on Thursday morning- June 6th, 2019 in Schertz, Texas.
Bess- as we all know her- was born on March 3, 1927 in Seminole, Texas to Thomas W. Price and Lillie Hawkins Price.
She married Aubrey Earnest McNew in 1944 and they had three children-Karen, Wayne, and Tommie. Aubrey died in a car wreck in 1951; and Bess went to work as a Secretary to support her family.
In 1955, Bess married J.H. Timmons who became the love of her life, and a wonderful father to their 3 children.
Bess was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.H. Timmons; her four brothers-Harold Price, Billy Price, Edgar Price, Kenneth Price; sister, Marie Campbell and her son, Wayne McNew.
Bess is survived by her daughter, Karen Lively and husband, James Lively of Huntsville, Texas; Her son Tommie McNew and Jean of Floresville, Texas; Her sister, Lois Steinhauer of Washington; Her precious grandchildren, James and Michael Lively, Roger and Tanya McNew; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Bess cherished her role as wife, mother and grandmother and she loved spending time with her family and friends and her church family. Bess had an amazing sense of humor and could always make a joke; no matter what.
