JoAnn West Chapman

JoAnn Chapman, age 85, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was born on December 14, 1935 to the late Osborn V. & Velma D. West. In addition to her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles L. Chapman, Matthew K. McNeal Jr, Kenneth E. Holder and her sibling, John P. West. She is survived by her children, Donna M. Shea, Victoria L. Encinas, and Matthew K. McNeal III; grandchildren Andreas Zahariadis, Angelica Kinane, Alyssa Zahariadis, Gregory Williams, Matthew Williams, Ashley McNeal Cadlo; and 11 great-grandchildren. She worked many years as a Bookkeeper with Addressograph Multigraph, Virginia National Bank, and K& K Toys. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and she loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a great love for crocheting and knitting, spending many hours on charity projects for families and animals in need. She was a bright flame that lit up the lives of her family and friends and she will be missed deeply. JoAnn passionately supported the charitable organization, Newborns in Need - South Hampton Roads chapter.
