Joanne Harkless

Joanne Louise Harkless (Arthur) passed away peacefully on March 11, 2023. Born on May 9, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA to Robert and Edith Arthur (Fenton). Preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband of 62 years and high school sweetheart, Ralph Leon Harkless. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Anita Spencer, Teresa O’Brien, Linda Wells, Sally (Patrick) Wentworth, 4 grandchildren, Garry Qualter (Julie Virgalitte), Jeremy (Brittany) Wentworth, Cassandra (Rick) Arocho, and Christopher Wells. Her sister, Judy McVicker, brother, Robert (Sharon) Arthur and several nieces and nephews. Joanne graduated from Bexley High School in 1949 where she met the love of her life. She was a wonderful homemaker, worked at Lazarus/ Macy’s for many years, enjoyed painting, singing, playing cards and being with her family. Please join us Tuesday, March 21st for a small service, food and a celebration of Joanne’s life at Christ Lutheran Church from 5 - 7:30 pm. We would like to sincerely thank our mother’s caregivers at Wesley Ridge and Mt. Carmel Hospice for their love and support during these last months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt.
