Sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom, Art. Would have loved to have been with you guys, but I was away supervising students. Think of you guys often and wish you God's peace.

It is always difficult to hear of the passing of someone who was just "always there" during your youth. Dot, or more likely "Mrs. Waleski, mam" was both a constant in many of our lives as well as a force of nature all by herself. Her strength and support to multiple generations of Bassett youth probably pushed a lot of us along a more positive and productive path than we might have had otherwise.

My fondest memory? It's got to be her famous cheese straws! I always had to beg my Mom to remember to bring one back for me from Garden Club, or a Church meeting. Special! Thank you Dot.

My deepest sympathies go to Arthur Frank and his family. I'm pretty sure your Dad is getting up from his respite, very happy to have his lively bride back to go and do all those things that didn't quite get done before.
Thoughts and prayers--Robert Wright
