Betty Gene Eads, age 92, of Bloomington, died Sunday evening at the Golden Living Center in Bloomington. Born May 3, 1926 in Belmont, Indiana, she was the daughter of Layton and Georgianna (Carmichael) Robertson. She had worked as an office manager and bookkeeper for Joe Keough, C.P.A., Black Lumber, Fitzgerald and Stutz Construction Contractors and Inn of the Fourwinds and for other individuals. During W.W. II she learned to be a pilot. She loved to play the saxophone and piano.
She is survived by her daughter, Candy Jackson, of Bloomington, one grandson, Rick Sluss, of Bloomington and three granddaughters, Stephanie Bowman, Laura Eunice and Candy Sluss.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Eads, and one grandson, Randall “Randy” Sluss.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
